7th August, 2017 – Tim Carter, CEO of the production company behind The Choir and First Dates, is set to join Shiver as Managing Director.
He will lead ITV Studios’ factual label with offices in London, Manchester and Leeds, overseeing approximately 300 hours of production a year including: Come Dine With Me, Paul O’Grady: For The Love of Dogs, Peston on Sunday and The Martin Lewis Money Show, along with recent commissions including Last Laugh in Vegas.
Carter will join Shiver next year once a successor has taken over his role at Twenty Twenty, where he is currently CEO of the Warner Bros. owned production company. Over the past decade, under Tim’s leadership, Twenty Twenty has built a reputation as a leading producer of documentary, specialist factual and factual entertainment formats, a robust children’s business and a burgeoning scripted slate. They have created a raft of BAFTA, RTS and Emmy award-winning shows for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 including World’s Strictest Parents, The Hoarder Next Door and Garrow’s Law, several of which have become global brands. Carter directly oversees much of Twenty Twenty's output including Channel 4's First Dates and The Choir franchisefor the BBC.
