30th June 2017 – Vincent Baylaucq has been appointed Vice President Sales, French Speaking Europe, ITV Studios Global Entertainment (ITVS GE). The former BBC Worldwide Senior Sales Executive will have a remit to grow ITVS GE’s business across France and French speaking territories, including working closely with Tetra Media Studio on the distribution of their content across the region.
Baylaucq will report to Dan Gopal, Executive Vice President, EMEA Distribution and Global Digital Partners. The newly created role in Paris follows ITV’s acquisition of Tetra Media Studio in February, which saw ITVS GE become Tetra’s distribution partner with flagship dramas including Un Village Françaisand Les Hommes de l’Ombre joining ITVS GE’s portfolio of world-leading drama.
Gopal commented: “The French speaking market remains an important and growing region for us, especially for UK and European drama; so it is crucial that our sales head is based in Paris to ensure we are ever closer to our broadcast and digital partners. Vincent has first class relationships and a comprehensive knowledge of the local market, and is absolutely the right person to drive the distribution of ITV’s portfolio of the very best global content spanning all genres across these territories.”

Baylaucq has been in the television industry for over 17 years, initially with Canal+ where he contributed to the launch of the luxury home shopping channel Wishline. Following a variety of roles across the Canal+ Group, including overseeing non-scripted sales in French speaking markets, he joined BBC Worldwide to represent the distributor’s catalogue in France. Baylaucq left BBC Worldwide in 2016 to consult, advising independent producers on their distribution strategy.
Baylauq starts his new role immediately.
